Site not opening: what to check
Most often, a site does not open due to an incorrect A-record for the domain, an expired plan, or an unpublished site. Open site settings → “Domain”: if there is an error “Domain points to an incorrect IP address” or “does not have A-records”, specify one A-record at your registrar with the IP address from this section (for Russia, usually 176.114.88.71) and wait up to 24 hours.
Check in order
- Is the site published? In the list of sites, the status should be “Published”. If it is “Not published” — click “Publish”. A free site is published for 14 days, then it is unpublished (“Free publication period has expired”) — the data is saved, a paid plan is required for publication.
- Is the plan for the site active? After the plan expires, the site works for another 7 days, then it is disconnected from the domain — visitors see “Your plan has expired”. Pay for the plan, and the site will work again.
- Is the domain renewed? In Sites → Domains, check “Valid until”. With the note “Expired — renew”, the site does not work. → How to buy a domain for a site, section “Domain renewal”.

Is the A-record correct? (for a domain purchased from another registrar)
- The domain must have one A-record with the name @ and the IP from the site settings. Delete other A-records (for example, from the registrar’s hosting).
- If the domain has the IP 23.111.106.77 — this is an old address, it no longer works. Replace it with the address from the site settings. The address 37.252.23.222 is also old, but it works, no need to change it.
- If there are AAAA-records (IPv6), delete them — they may interfere with the issuance of the HTTPS certificate.
- To ensure the address with www also opens, add a second A-record with the name www and the same IP.
- Has enough time passed? After changing DNS, it takes from 3 to 24 hours. Then click “Check connection” in the domain settings — the check itself takes 3–5 minutes.

What the domain status means in site settings

| “Verification failed”, “Local verification failed” | Usually, an extra A- or AAAA-record is interfering. Delete it and repeat the check in an hour |
